PowerFluxScalingΒΆ

Type:enum
Range:Off, UnitNormal
Default:Off
Appearance:simple

This parameter can be used in order to perform a power flux scaling of the plane beam. The power flux of the is given as,

\begin{eqnarray*}
P =  \int_{\Gamma} \pvec{S} \cdot \pvec{n}  \,\mathrm{d} \pvec{x} =\frac{1}{2}  \int_{\Gamma}\left( \pvec{E} \times \pvec{H}^{*} \right)\cdot \pvec{n}  \,\mathrm{d} \pvec{x}
\end{eqnarray*}

When setting PowerFluxScaling=UnitNormal the beam is re-scaled, so that the normal energy flux is normalized, i.e. for normal incidence

\begin{eqnarray*}
P_z = 1\quad[W]
\end{eqnarray*}
