Sets Bloch-vector $\pvec{k}_{\mathrm{B}}$ as needed to specify the cross-section Bloch-periodicity when the waveguide cross-section is periodic. For the discussion of periodic boundary conditions see here in the section Electromagnetics.

In case of a slab waveguide problem with a one-dimensional grid file grid.jcm, the second entry $k_y$ in $\pvec{k}_{\mathrm{B}}$ is ignored.
